Gymnastics on horseback, here in Cloquet.

No riding experience needed. No horse of your own. Just leggings and soft shoes — and a trainer who controls the horse the whole time, so your child only has to think about balance, confidence, and fun.

  • Everyone starts on the barrel
  • The horse walks first
  • Classes of 6–10 athletes
What is vaulting

What your child actually does in a vaulting class

Vaulting is one of the oldest equestrian sports — gymnastics and dance on horseback, organized in the US by Equestrian Vaulting USA. Here is what makes it different from riding lessons.

No. 01

Your child never controls the horse

A trained lunger guides the horse on a long line, in a steady circle, on soft footing. The trainer’s whole attention is on the horse so your child’s whole attention can be on themselves.

No. 02

Everyone starts on the barrel

Beginners learn every move first on a stationary practice barrel — a padded practice horse with handles — and only move to the real horse when they are ready.

No. 03

The horse walks first

New vaulters work at the walk. The trot comes when they are ready, and the canter only for experienced vaulters. Falling well is a skill vaulters practice on purpose, at the walk, from day one.

No. 04

It is a team sport

Kids train together around one horse — taking turns mounted while the rest condition, stretch, and practice on the barrel. They cheer for each other. That is the point.

Equestrian Vaulting USA describes vaulting as the safest of the equestrian sports; a published medical study of vaulting clubs found an injury rate comparable to non-contact sports. Read the full explainer.

Programs

Simple monthly programs, built around a team

Everything at Full Circle runs on a monthly program — no punch cards, no per-lesson math. Every vaulter starts with a $75 first session, then joins a consistent weekly group with the same coach and the same kids.

Fundamentals Team · $350/mo

One mounted, one unmounted class weekly

The heart of the program — a weekly vaulting class on the horse plus the weekly unmounted class where vaulters are actually made.

Competition Team · $700/mo

Two mounted classes plus unlimited unmounted

For committed vaulters — two mounted classes a week, unmounted training up to three times a week, and access to competition.

Season Package

Twenty lessons across the season

A seasonal option for families who want a defined block of lessons on seasonal terms rather than a monthly program.

See if your child lights up

Before you commit to anything monthly, bring your child for a $75 first session — meet the horses and the coach, learn the first positions on the practice barrel, and take a first turn on the horse at the walk. Parents stay and watch the whole time. Most kids know within the first ten minutes.
